Ministry and Groups at Westside
The ministry of Westside extends way beyond the church property. If you are serving God as a missionary in your home, workplace or neighbourhood, please let the pastoral team know of your circumstances so that we can support you both prayerfully and practically. At Westside, we believe in the 'priesthood of all believers', the 'pastor-hood of all believers' and the 'preacher-hood of all believers'. In other words, we recognise that all Christians are called to love and worship God, love and care for their fellow Christians and serve God through missional acts of service and proclamation. We want to support you in this.

A Parents Room is available for you to retreat to with your unsettled/nursing babies and young toddlers. It is located at the back of the main auditorium and has full view and sound to the adult service.

Weekday Ministry
Worship Teams - Westside worship teams rehearse every Thursday evening at 7:30pm. We are constantly recruiting and training musicians, worship leaders, sound technicians and helpers to assist in our worship.
For more information on Teaching and Christian Education courses and training conducted at Westside, contact the church office.
Home Groups - usually meet during the week and cater for a wide variety of interests. For more information about Home Group membership or leadership, please contact the church office.
3D Groups - If you would like to be connected to a group of three people that meet regularly for prayer and support, please contact the office.
Spiritual Direction - Spiritual Direction is a conversation with another whom we trust about the ongoing experience of God in our lives. It is a 'companioning' rather than a 'directing', for God is always the real director who deals differently with each person. The skilled and qualified spiritual director works one-to-one with an individual, assisting the person to recognize and respond to a God who communicates with each one in ever new and surprising ways, calling each of us forward in service. For an appointment please contact the church office.
Young at Heart - meet on the 4th Wednesday at 10:30am for a morning tea and a stimulating, varied program.
Guided English Conversation Classes - these sessions with trained volunteers are provided regularly, during the school term. It is an opportunity for non-english speaking residents to practice their spoken English. The classes are Tuesdays 9.30am during the school term. Contact the church office for class dates.
Kookaburra Kids - a playgroup meeting on Monday 9:30am – 11.30am. For more information please contact the church office.
Pantry Offering - Westside regularly assists those in need. We are currently collecting Coles Gift Cards to bless those who are going through difficult times.
Westside Caring Fund - a tax-deductible fund to which you can contribute for mission to the suburban poor. In emergency situations, the fund may be used to purchase food coupons, pay energy bills, petrol costs or medical expenses. Contact the church office for more details.
